gone to seed……………

I always let a few things go to seed in my garden.  There’s much to be said for a bit of letting go.

Whether it is done to in order to collect seed to re-plant, or simply to enjoy the flowers.

Fennel and Leek are my favourites for this, not only do you get the bonus of lots of baby fennel plants
popping up that can then be transplanted to where you want them to be in the vegetable plot, you are
able to enjoy the flowers.

I love watching the leek heads transition from Russian style minaret rooftops to full blown globes of mauve.
The bees love them, and they also look great when combined with Artichoke flowers.

Have you had a play with the new app waterlogue?   thanks to Janelle McCulloch for mentioning it on her
beautiful Library of Design blog. I warn you it is quite addictive to see your photos morph into watercolours.
